Fenwick's Christmas Window

A Geordie Christmas tradition. This department store in Northumberland Street is a showstopper. Every year, Fenwick reveals a new Christmas-themed window display. This time, Fenwick has partnered with author and illustrator Chris Riddell to reimagine the popular carol 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. The display takes you through the magical journey of Foggy the Partridge as he goes on a quest to make his Christmas wish come true. 

Skate your way through the Christmas ice rink at Life Science Centre

Fancy a go at ice skating? Newcastle’s Life Science Centre welcomes an outdoor ice rink every festive season. Situated just minutes away from Central Station, it’s the perfect activity to get you into the Christmas spirit!

This inclusive multi-sensory lights show is a must-see. Northern Lights Trail takes over Newcastle’s Leazes Park, creating an enchanted winter wonderland crafted by world-leading lighting designers. Located right outside Central Station, these tip tents are hard to miss. The Lazy Bear is an Irish-inspired pop-up bar in Newcastle, offering live music performances, fire pits, and a range of Irish whiskey, Irish coffees, and Guinness. It’s a great stop to unwind after a busy day of Christmas shopping!

Laser Lights City is a popular and free event to welcome the new year. Designed by BAFTA-winning artist Seb Lee-Delisle, this stunning laser spectacle will take place on 31st of December at 6pm, 9pm, and midnight, at the Quayside. The show will take you on a musical journey alongside cutting edge laser projections, lighting effects, and pyro.
