It is well established that Edinburgh Castle is the most iconic landmark in the Scottish capital, but would you believe us if we told it’s even prettier at Christmas? 

Castle of Light is a spectacular projection show bringing together immersive displays, interactive installations, and music. This year, the show will take you through some of Edinburgh’s forgotten tales, walking in famous footsteps, dancing through the ages in Crown Square, and even firing Mons Meg. Find out more here.

Although technically not a light show, we couldn’t leave Oxford Street off this list. These are some of London’s most beautiful Christmas lights, all made of sustainable materials.
